END DETOX - final call
END DETOX - 31 DECEMBER 2010
The Art Detox project, a free and open to all experiment in art ecology, was planned as a twelve months collective test, “a year of artistic detoxification” in the tradition of the “Decentralized Congress” years of 1986, 1992, 1998 and 2004. Therefore, from December 31st 2010 the project may be considered terminated, but the blog http://artdetox2010.ning.com (now featuring over a thousand images from 146 blog members) will remain active as an online documentation at least until August 2011.
A conclusive multimedia Art Detox catalogue will be prepared soon in a limited edition, made available at production cost to all those interested. If you want to contribute a final statement (text, visual or audio) on the usefulness or pointlessness of this experience, or if you have other Art Detox documents and ruminations to share, there is time until January 17th 2011 (“art’s birthday” according to Robert Filliou) to post it on the blog or e-mail it directly to vittorebaroni@alice.it. Do not forget to include your e-mail or postal address, to be timely notified as soon as the catalogue will be ready.
Thanks to all & happy 2011!

Happy New Year - Feliz Fin de Año
FELICIDADES 2011
HAPPINESS 2011
Well, dear friends. .the hour of leaving in peace to the people has arrived.... Coarse of deceiving and wake up false expectations... Not more excuses. Until when will we follow offering pears for elms? Build up hopes for realities? Already Eliot warned us that "the human species don't support much reality" but that doesn't oblige us to lie them for always.
The true function of art is cover the reality under a mantel of trivial signs and fraudulent representations in order to maintain people in the site that system has assigned them. Don't matter what language is utilized, included the language of action... it could say the one which is wanted and he told (true or not) it is imposed for the authority of the originator (the artist) and of the mercandizing apparatus that endorses him.
Art works that we produce are illusions or roads of escape of the tensions or desires not carried out. Bad crafts created in the reign of the desire and not in the reign of reality gets like a massage of the spirit or rest of weekend..."Art is the design of desire", Freud... We, artists, operated with systems of representation of reality (languages) but not with the same reality. Our strength and our absolute falsehood reside in that.
Ethically we don't have no law for to fuck people....Stop art.
Clemente Padín, the spiter of roasting...
