Artist and sculptor Louise Bourgeois has died at the age of 98, in Manhattan, where she has been living and working. She is probably best known for her Spiders. Although largely ignored by the art market in the 50's and 60's,
Bourgeois has been described as one of the "greatest ever artists" and [although]that "few female artists have been recognised as truly important".
