He lives in Kassel and is known for his performances and publications.
As early as 1973 he was doing copy art and publishing copy art books
and in 1976 he started publishing his magazine "Collective Copy".
Olbrich is teaching in Germany and is a member of the Kunstverein Kassel.
He participated in documenta 8 in 1987.
