Claude Monet (French pronunciation: [klod mɔnɛ]), born Oscar Claude Monet (14 November 1840 – 5 December 1926), was a founder of French impressionist painting, and the most consistent and prolific practitioner of the movement's philosophy of expressing one's perceptions before nature, especially as applied to plein-air landscape painting.[1][2] The term Impressionism is derived from the title of his painting Impression, Sunrise (Impression, soleil levant).

Sri Aurobindo (Bengali: শ্রী অরবিন্দ (অরবিন্দ ঘোষ) Sri Ôrobindo) (born Aurobindo Ghose, in Calcutta 15 August 1872 – 5 December 1950) was an Indian nationalist, freedom fighter, philosopher, yogi, and poet.[1][2] He joined the Indian movement for freedom from British rule and for a duration became one of its most important leaders,[3] before developing his own vision of human progress and spiritual evolution.
The central theme of Sri Aurobindo's vision is the evolution of life into a "life divine".
