Inspired by Angela Behrendt, I have initiated a NewNew Mail Art project and invite you to create a postcard on the theme, 'Where is Ai Weiwei?'. Mail to : 'Where is Ai Weiwei?' P.O. Box 121 Wendell, MA 01379 USA. All work will be posted and documented on http://www.weiweimailart.blogspot.com/

Christine Tarantino, EVOLution, visio-textual collage, 2005, exhibited at International Mother Language Day Art Exhibit, Bhutan, Feb. - March 2011. This is the first time an American artist has ever exhibited in that country, known as The Kingdom of Happiness.

In order to give the wooden swimmers more time to cross the Atlantic, the burning and totem event will be postponed one week. Next Sunday, 2 p.m. December 13th is the new time.

Why? I will create a structure from all the pieces of wood you send me.
Then I will build a totem using rocks with participants' initials.
The wooden structure will be burned and the ashes will be sent to you as part of the project documentation.
The rock totem will stand as long as it wants to.
