The art movement called FLUXUS (1961/2 - 1978) ended a long time ago, but the spirit of 'flowing change' can never end. --Christine Tarantino

(ER053) Sean Derrick Cooper Marquardt, Rosendo J. Rocha, & Consistency Nature – Incinerating The Dance Floor

Viva Effluvia! A party is about to begin. What is brewing in our wonderful cauldron of sacred akasha witchery is a prolonged party of epic collaborative submissions over the next few days. So many have contributed to what layeth ahead, and it all starts with this three-way split between three avid lovers of ferocious drone. With the appetizers being prepared, the chandeliers being inspected, the mops giving the dance floor a pristine gleam while those invited to this box social of musical merriment struggle to find matching socks, the party has already begun inside the heart of all these people . First with Sean Derrick Cooper Marquardt, whose sunburnt epiphanies of purity, as if hunting for an ethereal boar, blows our scalps off and exposes our skulls and minds to the maddening light of day through his usual guitar explosions, jarring, mysterious, acousmatic and yet harmonious field recordings, and a dreamlike blanket over it all, as if a blizzard of immense rippling heat is finally illuminating our delirium. Somebody must have spiked the punch for what comes next, because there are all new sensations running down Effluvia’s spine. Rosendo J. Rocha, a new contributor to this particular netlabel, who is part of the groups MOL & Proxecto Minamata, has provided a whopping scream of crunchy, dynamic, immense noisey drone delight. We hope to see more of him soon, and during this big Effluvia party, you just might! And then finally Consistency Nature, joined by Calypso Bizaar & Silly Goose, to create a live piece of psychedelic lo fi drone. Relocating the sacred together as two lost and found Wiccans and a militant atheist. The party has begun, the guests have arrived, and yet the swing band is hushed, because this isn’t just any festive occasion, this is a festive effluvia. Somebody smells something smoky, and they notice suddenly that we are incinerating the dancefloor, thus provoking the true livers and listeners to dance their pyro asses off.
