OPENING SATURDAY 9 JUIN 2012, 4:30 p.m. OF Α 19Η00
The opening will be followed by a cocktail.

The tangled paths of poetry and art (painting and poetry) Costas Evangelatos in Paris.
The inauguration of paintings, poems and drawings by Costas Evangelatos, will be held in Paris in the form of an exhibition at personnell CENTER SEVRES. This is the seventh solo exhibition of Evangelatos in Paris and the eighth in France (the first successful exhibition, entitled "Conceptualizations" was held at Les Fontaines in Chantilly in 1988). In the current exhibition titled: "ROADS ENTANGLED" compositions (paintings) displayed visually fit into a world of symbols, shapes and concepts or emerging. The exhibition is titled exactly as the collection of selected pieces of literary or musical works recently published in French. At the same time editing this anthology of poems to writing and representative drawings of the artist will be presented so that art lovers can get an overall picture but indicative of the artist's innovative research. The exhibition will run until 16 June 2012 and free admission to art lovers, from 12 to 21h.
(Facing the Bon Marche, Metro: Sevres-Babylone).

Art historian Maray GEORGOUSI wrote an article:

The important visual artist, writer, artist representation (performer), art historian Costas Evangelatos studied law at Athens University and the painting and the history of aesthetics of Contemporary Art Manhattan under the direction of teachers and Pearl Allen DAVID EHRLICH. From 1986 to 1993 he was artistic director of the DADA Gallery in Athens. He also created the art studio IS in 1990 in Athens. Then, in parallel with the painting he was also active internationally in other artistic fields: writing, poetry, art in motion (performance), body art, happenings, mail art . He has exhibited in Athens, Thessaloniki, Rochester, New York City, Avignon, Chantilly, Paris, Glasgow, Amsterdam, Nicosia, etc.., And is a member of scientific organizations, educational and artistic, since 1991 he is member of the
House of Fine Arts in Greece.
Evangelatos compositions are in no way static, but instead are characterized by dynamism and movement, achieved thanks to designers and technical skills of the artist. Furthermore, inspired by an intense lyricism of form, a poetic embellishment of reality, its landscapes so as to refer only to real landscapes dreamed landscapes, idealized. He does not need to create a work that India ink and white paper. His pen drawing as his calligraphy are balanced and accurate. His works are characterized by an impressive movement, but also by the density. They carry the intensity of their energy to the spectator-receiver. This is sufficient for their movement, dance, music may, in any form, by their intensity, using just black ink on white background. His drawings follow a strict structure. However, one drawing in black and white can be just as bright as a clear end a colorful picture. The artist created compositions in full force lines extensively studied. Interlocutor exciting, charming and everlasting with the viewer, it has a deep knowledge of techniques and art history (It is also itself a part of this volume).
Finally, if it wants a world citizen, he lives in recent years and divides his time between Athens and the beautiful island of Kefalonia.
