Con il tema "Pratiche artistiche ed immaginari sociali" si daranno appuntamento a L'Avana, da 11 maggio al 11 di giugno di 2012. Questa edizione dell'evento si rivela in corsa di resistenza. Ogni giorno sono più comuni le polemiche sulle carte o spazi che l'arte deve assumere. Da parte sua la dinamica contemporanea trasformò di forma decisiva gli scenari e concetti che ferma artisti ed istituzioni conteneva la sfera artistica. I musei furono spaesati, lo spazio pubblico guadagnò protagonismo e lo spettatore ottenne un ruolo significativo.

Desde prácticas artísticas que dinamizan y a su vez se actualizan y contienden en los predominios de la expresión visual contemporánea, y a partir de las identidades creadoras logradas por estos artistas más allá del medio o formato, nos preguntamos: ¿Es la imaginación un territorio autónomo donde podemos volar soberanamente? ¿Es capaz el pensamiento del hombre moderno de superar la estructuración y la regulación de los límites de acción que se imponen como normas de entendimiento y ordenación en los predios sociales? ¿Puede el arte convertirse al menos en un volante libre de nosotros mismos?
Flyers se presupone como una emanación de interrogantes y provocaciones que incitan a interdialogar con la experiencia del propio pensamiento universal, dotado de afirmaciones como las de Breton quien consideró que la imaginación no era un don, sino un objeto de conquista por excelencia -lo que ya implica que alcanzarla conlleva un acto de esfuerzo y beligerancia hacia una liberación. Lo esencial es la contingencia, dice Sartre en La Náusea. La imaginación pura (carente de conceptos) es un engaño, plantea Klaus Vieweg; y alcanzar la plenitud de esa anhelada libertad que presupone imaginar es por tanto un proceso no de supresión de la “idea”, sino un epítome de las ideas desde una relación inteligente con el propio mundo, un acto de aprehensión y expresión en síntesis de sus esencias.
Flyers puede ser también un montón de sublimes arengas lanzadas frente a la represión consumada del intelecto y la mediatización calculada de la inteligencia hacia lo obvio, como un proceso de control de la base elemental del imaginario público: el pensar alto y libre en todas sus dimensiones y territorios de la existencia. Pues en la misma medida que, por ser lógicos, se justifican ciertos procesos de desarrollo del imaginario social como legítimos, viciados y condicionados en sus causalidades por menguados desarrollos entre lo inteligible y lo intelectual, se hace acto de reverencia ante las intenciones evidentes de los poderes instituidos de lograr la regulación del mero acto de imaginar.
Aun cargada de todos los lastres que imponen los sistemas y estructuras dominantes de lo sociocultural global, la imaginación individual necesita erigirse cada día como entropía indócil que agite y convulse la fuerza brutal de ese gran imaginario colectivo que tal vez alguna vez se libere a ciertas y libere al mundo.
